Super Bowl Boulevard is the first event of its kind and a forerunner of a future Super Bowl host-city bid requirement. Similar free public events will be required for future Super Bowls.
This event hopes to be "where Super Bowl lives" all NFL fans and New Orleans is ready to "set the bar" for future host cities with its "inherent assets that lend themselves perfectly toward this concept" according to Jay Cicero who heads both the Super Bowl Host Committee and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation. Quint Davis and Festival Productions, of Jazz Fest fame, is producing the event.
