SUGAR BOWL HISTORY:
The first Sugar Bowl was at Tulane Stadium in uptown New Orleans on New Years Day 1935. It was a North v South game -- Tulane v Temple -- and our hometown Tulane Green Wave beat the Owls 20 - 14. It must have been an exciting game since Tulane was losing by 14 at one point in the game. About 22,000 reportedly attended the game.
