TURKEY: It's too late to get a Kiwanis Fried Turkey in New Orleans - They have sold out all 700 turkeys that will be fried today in Metairie by the Dawn Busters Kiwanis and the Mardi Gras Krewe of Carrollton - That a new world's record for the World's Biggest Turkey Frying Event (which is also a charity fundraiser).  Get your order in early next year if you missed out.

PLANS: It's not to late to make Thanksgiving plans -  To help, here's a list of Thanksgiving  options in New Orleans including an early morning people race, all day horse racing, T-Day food, and Bayou Classic events including a Thanksgiving parade.   And there are a few other things left on the November Things To Do Calendar including the big Renaissance Festival on the North Shore.

HELPING: Take your generous Thanksgiving mood and help others in need this time of year.  Check out some of the ways to help during the holidays as well as a variety of unique volunteer opportunities in New Orleans throughout the year.

SHOPPING: Some people let  Christmas shopping usurp their Thanksgiving  and nearly everyone plans for Black Friday - whether its to shop or to avoid the traffic around the malls.  But there are holiday shopping events and specials beyond Black Friday  that can be  fun and entertaining, including glass-blowing your own ornament and neighborhood shop celebrations  Here's a list of those events as well as the area Black Friday venues from road-trip outlet stores to top metro New Orleans malls.
