Christmas is not waiting for Thanksgiving - Tomorrow is a special holiday shopping event in the French Quarter, Shop Away in the Vieux Carre Day.
Santa Claus and/or his helpers are also already showing up at metro New Orleans malls:
-Tomorrow at Lakeside Mall in Metairie, Santa Claus will arrive at 9:30 a.m. with a Second Line Parade and a Sing-A-Long, plus Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, and Frosty the Snowman.
-Tell Santa your Christmas wishes and get a photograph at Oakwood Mall, right off the bridge on the West Bank. And even pets are invited on Monday nights when dogs and cats can have their picture taken with Santa Claus 6 p.m. - close.
-Live reindeer join Santa for at Clearview Mall for the holiday season starting this weekend.
