Did you know that many of the weapons and props used in the original Star Wars film trilogy were from War World I and II?  Learn more about it - and see the items - at  a Nov. 13, 2012 Dinner with the Curator events at the World War II Museum in New Orleans.   The "WWII in a Galaxy Far, Far Away"  event includes a 3-course meal at the John Besh American Sector Restaurant in the museum. Reservations required.

Star Wars fans (and sci-fi geeks) may also be interested in Chewbacchus, a Sci-Fi Mardi Gras krewe and parade, as well as  the 2012 New Orleans Comic Con which features mini-parades by  Chewbacchus and countless Star Wars attractions, including a light saber dueling class.
