Bourbon Street Live!

By March 7, 2011

Follow me on:

There's a way to see the action on Bourbon Street live even if you aren't brave or crazy enough to join the Bourbon Street Mardi Gras crowd -- which gives new meaning to the word "crowd".

The last time I found myself on Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras prime time, my feet didn't touch the ground until I squeezed out of that crowd at a side street, seperated and lost from the everyone in my group.

Anyway,  you can safely check out the 2011 Mardi Gras scene at any hour on Bourbon Street via these French Quarter live web cams:   The street scene from a balcony at the Cat' Meow and a closer sidewalk view by Tropical Isle.

You can be a virtual witness to the crowds, the craziness, and the midnight clearing of Bourbon Street that officially ends Mardi Gras 2011.  And if you're down on the street, don't forget you could be on camera.
